After Call with Zelenskyy, Finnish President Urges Russia to Cease Fire

The President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, had a good conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to Stubb's tweet on social network X.
According to the Finn, the conversation focused on the situation on the ground, including in the coming days.
‘Ukraine has accepted a full and unconditional ceasefire. Russia, the aggressor, must do the same,’ the President of Finland stressed.
‘Finland and Ukraine continue to work towards a just and sustainable peace,’ he added.
For his part, Zelenskyy called the conversation with Stubb ‘good and frank’.
He wrote on social media that the presidents discussed their relations with the United States and the American proposal for an unconditional ceasefire. ‘A proposal to which Russia has been saying no for 36 days. Only principled steps can turn such a disregard for diplomacy towards peace,’ Zelenskyy said.
At the end of March, US President Donald Trump said that there was a ‘psychological deadline’ for Russia to agree to a full ceasefire in Ukraine.
And Stubb, after meeting with Trump in Florida on 29 March, proposed setting 20 April as the deadline for Russia to agree to a cessation of hostilities before introducing new measures of pressure on it.
