Seven out of ten people surveyed worldwide believe that their governments should support Ukraine in its resistance to Russian aggression. These findings are based on a study conducted by the consulting firm GlobeScan, which indicates that the majority of residents in 30 countries, except Mexico, support the idea of aiding Ukraine. The relevant material is posted on the GlobeScan company's website.

The survey was conducted in July and August 2023, with 30,000 respondents participating in 30 different countries. Participants were asked about their opinions and attitudes regarding various global issues and challenges facing the modern world.

The results of the study show that, on average, 29% of respondents in these countries "completely support" the idea that their governments should provide assistance to Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression, and an additional 40% responded that they "somewhat support" this idea. Only 11% "strongly oppose" it, and 20% "somewhat oppose" it.

The highest level of support for Ukraine was found among residents of Portugal (86%), Sweden (81%), and Australia (80%), followed by the United Kingdom (79%) and Canada (78%). Mexicans expressed the least support for the idea of assisting Ukraine (46%), with Colombians (51%), Indonesians (54%), Saudis (55%), and Peruvians (55%) also showing lower levels of support.

In the United States, the largest provider of military assistance to Ukraine, 70% of respondents expressed a desire to support Ukraine. In Germany, another key supplier of military aid, 66% of respondents support Ukraine. Overall, residents of European and North American countries included in the survey tend to be the most supportive of Ukraine, while residents of Latin America express less support.

GlobeScan's CEO, Chris Coulter, noted that public opinion worldwide continues to stand with Ukraine, and the overwhelming majority of people in Africa, Australia, Brazil, Europe, Japan, and North America want their governments to support Ukraine in its fight for freedom against Russia's unlawful aggression.

It's worth mentioning that U.S. President Joe Biden plans to request $100 billion from Congress for support to Ukraine and Israel.
