Azerbaijani Energy Facility in Ukraine Hit Again by Russian Strikes

For the second time in a month, Russians struck the oil depot of the Azerbaijani oil company SOCAR and destroyed it.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Economic Pravda.
It is worth recalling that Russia's first attack on the SOCAR oil depot in Ukraine took place on the night of August 8, 2025.
As The Gaze previously reported, during a recent telephone conversation between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev the parties condemned recent Russian attacks on Azerbaijani-linked energy facilities in Ukraine, emphasizing that these assaults will not hinder their ongoing cooperation in the energy sector.
Oleg Kipper, head of the Odessa Regional State Administration, reported that a fire had broken out at a fuel and energy infrastructure facility in the suburbs of Odessa.
At the same time, the Azerbaijani publication MINVAL announced that the attacked energy facility belongs to SOCAR.
“All tanks, the pumping station building, control rooms, weighing rooms, and technical rooms were damaged, and the fence was destroyed. The storage capacity of this oil depot is over 16,000 cubic meters,” the report said.
Sergey Kuyun, director of the A-95 Consulting Group, also informed that the SOCAR oil storage facility had been completely destroyed and the compressor station supplying Azerbaijani gas had been damaged.
He stressed that Azerbaijan had already responded to the attacks, announcing the possible supply of weapons if they continued, and expressed hope for a new active ally for Ukraine.
The Gaze informed earlier that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had ordered the allocation of funds equivalent to US$2 million to the country's Ministry of Energy for the purpose of providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
