"Childless Cat Lady" - Pop Star Taylor Swift Supports Kamala Harris for President After Debate with Donald Trump

Popular American singer Taylor Swift was one of the first to react to the debate between US presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, and posted a post on her Instagram supporting the presidential campaign of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.

Swift wrote that she had watched the debate between Harris and Trump and as a voter, she is sure to keep an eye on the policies and plans the candidates propose for the United States.

‘I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walls in the 2024 presidential election. I'm voting for (Kamala Harris - ed.) because she fights for rights and because I think it takes a warrior to defend them. I think she is a strong, talented leader, and I believe we can achieve much more in this country if we are led by calm rather than chaos. I was very encouraged and impressed by her choice of running mate (Tim Walls - ed.), who has been a champion of LGBTQ+ rights, IVF and a woman's right to her own body for decades,’ Swift wrote.

In addition, the pop star signed the post as a ‘childless cat lady’. This is a direct reference to the controversial bold remarks made by Trump's running mate, Senator Jay DeVance, who had previously called candidate Harris a ‘childless cat lady’ who wants to run the country.

Taylor Swift, who has publicly supported the Democratic Party in the past, including Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the 2020 elections, has not publicly declared her support for any candidate in the 2024 elections.

Also, former US President Barack Obama said after the debate in support of Harris that America had now ‘seen firsthand who has the vision and the strength to move the country forward, not divide the people’.
