Czech Initiative Ready to Deliver 1.5 Million More Shells to Ukraine This Year

The Czech initiative to supply Ukraine with ammunition could deliver at least as many rounds in 2025 as last year, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said on Thursday, Reuters reports.
‘We are talking about a number at least at the level of last year,’ he said after a summit in Paris with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other leaders.
The Czech initiative, launched in 2024 and funded by NATO allies, supplied Ukraine with 1.5 million artillery rounds last year, including 500,000 155mm shells.
According to Fiala, Prague continues to work on expanding this programme to support Ukraine in countering Russian aggression.
As The Gaze reported, the Czech Republic, along with the United States and the United Kingdom, has become one of the leading suppliers of ammunition to Ukraine.
