Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, who participated in a meeting of heads of government of Ukraine's allied countries in Paris on Monday, announced that 15 countries may join the procurement of munitions for Ukraine under the Czech scheme. Petr Fiala also stated that the procurement and delivery of munitions could take place within "weeks or months," as reported by Radio Prague International.

Some of these countries are already known. These include the Netherlands, which is ready to allocate €100 million for this purpose, as previously reported by The Gaze. According to French President Emmanuel Macron, Paris will also participate in the project. Other potential coalition participants have not yet been named.

President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel previously announced that the Czech Republic has found the possibility to procure 800 thousand large-calibre artillery shells for Ukraine outside the European Union. According to information from Czech officials, countries willing to sell shells have made it a strict condition that they will not be named.

According to Czech Defense Minister Jana Chernohova, the supply volume will include 500 thousand shells of calibre 155 millimetres, corresponding to NATO standards, and 300 thousand shells of calibre 152 millimetres, corresponding to the "Soviet" standard. It is worth noting that Ukrainian artillery uses artillery of both standards.

Recall that on February 24, the Czech Republic commemorated the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine as part of the "Day for Ukraine" campaign. This is a joint initiative of the largest civil society organizations and associations in the Czech Republic, which have long been working to support Ukraine, including "People in Need" (Člověk v tísni), "Memory of the Nation" (Paměť národa), "Million Moments for Democracy" (Milion chvilek pro demokracii), "Charitable Fund for Ukraine" (Nadační fond pro Ukrajinu), known for its project "Gift for Putin" (Dárek pro Putina), as well as "Voice of Ukraine" (Hlas Ukrajiny), the European Congress of Ukrainians, and others.

As part of the campaign, President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel and representatives of organizations that organize the commemorative event addressed the audience.

Also in Prague, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Russian invasion, several cinemas are hosting screenings of four Ukrainian military documentaries, with screenings held on February 22, 24, and 27, as well as scheduled for February 29.
