Dropla Tech, a joint venture between Denmark and Ukraine, has raised €2.4 million in funding to expand its AI technologies that detect mines and other hazards on the battlefield, The Gaze reports this, citing Militarnyi, referring to the company's press service.

The Danish-Ukrainian startup, founded in 2023, has received funding from EIFO, Maj Invest, and Final Frontier to develop its AI solutions BLUE EYES and DROPLA VISION that will enable the company to more effectively detect mines and other threats on the battlefield.

The company currently has a team of 35 specialists working simultaneously in Ukraine and Denmark, combining European technology with Ukrainian war experience and state support for innovation.

It is reported that the startup's success was made possible by a partnership with the BRAVE1 cluster, which provided access to real combat data for training AI algorithms and testing.

The flagship product, BLUE EYES, is an autonomous system for detecting mines and other explosive objects in real time that works even when communication and navigation are lost. The system integrates with existing drones and increases the safety of military units and logistics routes that may be mined or attacked by enemy drones.

Dropla Tech has also created its own training ground with Europe's largest dataset of explosive objects to train AI algorithms in conditions as close to combat as possible.

The company's second project, DROPLA VISION, is a multi-sensor mapping platform for humanitarian demining. It combines data from optical, thermal, magnetic, multispectral, and lidar sensors, and AI analyzes it to detect anomalies and classify threats, allowing missions to be planned for technical and non-technical surveys of territories.

Prototypes of Dropla Tech solutions are already undergoing field tests in the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the participation of the BRAVE1 platform.

It is worth recalling that Brave1 is a platform that brings together DefenseTech participants in Ukraine and supports the development of innovative defense projects with the aim of bringing the country to the global market. It is set to introduce a feedback system for military personnel, enabling secure reviews and communication with manufacturers to ensure equipment reliability.
