I played this match in an incredible atmosphere. The match was very tough. Iga is a strong opponent, an incredible fighter. I'm glad I managed to fight and win this match. She's been very supportive of Ukrainians and Ukraine, not only with words but also with actions. It wasn't easy to play against her. But I'm very happy I succeeded. Thank you so much for this incredible support," said Elina Svitolina.
In the semifinal match, Elina Svitolina will face Marketa Vondrousova from the Czech Republic. Both players were unseeded in the current Wimbledon tournament.
