The Colosseum in Rome may witness a battle between billionaire and Twitter owner, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg, the head of Meta, which also owns Facebook.

According to TMZ, the proposal for this highly anticipated showdown came from Italy's Minister of Culture, Giannaro San Giuliano. He reportedly reached out to Mark Zuckerberg about organizing a UFC fight against Elon Musk at the world-famous Colosseum in Rome.

Sources suggest that both Zuckerberg and Musk are interested in having the battle at the Colosseum. It's believed that Zuckerberg's representatives contacted UFC President Dana White, who then got in touch with the minister.

The feud between Musk and Zuckerberg started a week ago when Musk mocked Zuckerberg's strategy of copying technology from competitors on Twitter. There were rumors that Meta is developing a competitor to Twitter, and one of the top managers allegedly gave a sneak peek of the future Twitter analog. Meta claimed that the new social media platform is being created for people seeking a "trustworthy and intelligently-managed platform."

A Twitter user warned Musk to be careful, considering Zuckerberg's young age and his involvement in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. To this, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX responded that he is ready for a cage match.

Zuckerberg later shared an Instagram story with a screenshot of the Twitter exchange, saying, "send me the location." Musk took it in good humor and offered to have the fight in the Las Vegas octagon, owned by the UFC.

It was later revealed that Elon Musk accepted a proposal from the legendary Canadian ex-UFC champion, Georges St-Pierre, who offered to assist him in preparation for the bout against billionaire Mark Zuckerberg.

St-Pierre, a self-proclaimed fan of Musk, expressed his willingness to help the entrepreneur. Musk positively responded to the offer.

An official spokesperson for Meta confirmed that Mark Zuckerberg is taking the potential battle seriously.

Although Musk, at 51 years old, is 12 years older than Zuckerberg, he has the advantage of physical size due to his experiences in "real tough street brawls" during his upbringing in South Africa. On the other hand, the 39-year-old Zuckerberg is an MMA fighter who recently won a jiu-jitsu tournament in less than 40 minutes. He had completed the grueling "Murph Challenge," which includes running 1.6 km, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, and 300 squats with a 1.6 km run to finish.

It remains to be seen if this potential clash between Musk and Zuckerberg will become one of the most popular fights of all time.
