EU Leaders to Visit Kyiv to Support Ukraine and ‘Democratically Elected President’

Presidents of the European Council and European Commission Antonio Costa and Ursula von der Leyen will visit Ukraine on the third anniversary of the full-scale war, on 24 February, Costa said on social media platform X.
‘24 February will mark the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. I have decided to come to Kyiv on this occasion, together with Ursula von der Leyen, to reaffirm our support for the heroic Ukrainian people and the democratically elected President Volodymyr Zelenskyy,’ Costa wrote.
According to Costa's post, the decision to visit was made in recent days, and he also apologised to the leader of the African country of Côte d'Ivoire and UNESCO for having to postpone the event scheduled for that date due to a change in his plans.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez is planning to visit Kyiv on the same day. ‘On Monday, I will be in Kyiv to reaffirm Spain's support for Ukrainian democracy and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy,’ he wrote in a statement.
