First Croatian MV-10 Mine Clearance Machine Assembled in Ukraine Certified
The first Croatian heavy demining machine MV-10, assembled at a Ukrainian enterprise, has received a certificate of conformity and has already been handed over to Ukrainian deminers.
This was reported by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
Aztekh-Ukraine, which assembles and localises Croatian DOK-ING MV-10 mechanised demining machines, has already received an order for the production of eight such machines. The company has the capacity to produce up to 60 MV-10 demining machines annually.
Currently, Aztekh-Ukraine produces up to 40% of the components for the MV-10's working body and plans to increase this figure to 100% by the end of the year.
Two other Ukrainian companies that produce some of the components and trawls for transportation are involved in the assembly of these machines.
The Ministry of Economy clarified that there are currently 17 DOK-ING MV-10 heavy demining vehicles in operation in Ukraine. They are used by the SES, SSTU and the Swiss Mine Action Fund mainly in Mykolaiv, Kherson and Kharkiv regions.
As of the end of May, according to the agency, these machines have cleared 850 hectares of Ukrainian land and destroyed more than 4,500 mines, cluster munitions and other types of explosive devices.
The DOK-ING MV-10 is a heavy demining machine with a dual working set: a chain mechanism and a cutter. It is able to withstand the detonation of an anti-tank mine. It is used for clearing areas of various types of mines and explosive objects. MV-10 can clear up to 3000 m2 of area per hour. It can operate on both flat and sloping surfaces.
