The heads of 60 diplomatic missions in Ukraine were taken on a visit to the Cabinet of Ministers building in Kyiv, which sustained damage during a Russian missile attack in the early hours of September 7.

The Gaze reports this, referring to a statement made by Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

Sybiha confirmed the visit on Monday, noting that the tour was intended to give diplomats a direct view of the impact of Russia’s latest wave of strikes.

The attack, part of a broader assault on Ukrainian cities including Kyiv, Sumy, Kremenchuk, Odesa, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Zaporizhzhia, left government facilities and civilian infrastructure damaged.

Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko addressed the delegation, outlining the government’s efforts to safeguard the country and calling on partners to strengthen support against Moscow’s campaign of terror.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko also briefed the diplomats on the consequences of the strikes and the response efforts of Ukraine’s emergency services.

According to Sybiha, the briefing focused less on the Cabinet building itself and more on the broader destruction and civilian casualties caused by Russia’s ongoing assault.

“We emphasized to our foreign colleagues that with such barbaric attacks, Russia is rejecting peace efforts and diplomacy. Therefore, to achieve peace, it is necessary to increase sanctions on Moscow and strengthen Ukraine,” he stated.

Sybiha said he was grateful to all the foreign diplomats who condemned Russia’s campaign of terror and reaffirmed their governments’ readiness to take concrete steps in support of Ukraine and to increase pressure on Moscow.

Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Russia’s strike on Ukraine’s government building shows the futility of delay and appeasement, while UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the overnight attacks on Kyiv and other cities as proof that Vladimir Putin is not serious about peace.

As The Gaze previously reported, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko has released a video showing the Cabinet of Ministers building in Kyiv damaged by a Russian missile strike. Svyrydenko stressed that Russia clearly has no interest in peace and called on allies to help Ukraine protect its skies and cripple Russia’s war machine.
