France Steps Up Support for Ukraine

The French President's Council for International Partnerships has adopted a decision according to which the country will refocus its strategic efforts on helping Ukraine, reports FREEDOM.
The document emphasises that as the main partners withdraw, Paris, together with its European allies, will continue to speak with a strong voice in the international arena.
‘France pays special attention to countries affected by crises and conflicts, in particular through humanitarian and recovery measures, as well as through support for macro-financial stabilisation. Given the imminent threat to Europe, France reaffirms that Ukraine is a priority in its enormous support,’ the decision of the Council for International Partnerships under the French President reads.
As The Gaze reported, French President Emmanuel Macron has announced a new €2 billion military support package for Ukraine. He made the announcement at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Paris at the end of March.
It is also known that Macron may become Europe's chief representative in negotiations with Putin to end the war.
