Sweden Pledges Over €3 Billion in Aid to Ukraine in the Last Month

Sweden has committed over €3 billion to Ukraine in the past 30 days, The Gaze reports, citing Ukrainian media.
Sweden is focused on supporting Ukraine “as much as possible” and providing Ukrainians with new aid packages, Swedish Defence Minister Pål Jonson has said.
“Sweden has recently announced its second package for Ukraine. This is our largest package yet, so in the last 30 days, we have committed more than €3 billion to Ukraine. Our focus is now very clear, and that is to support the Ukrainians as much as possible,” Jonson stated ahead of a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing at NATO Headquarters in Brussels on Thursday.
According to the minister, Sweden aims to position Ukraine as strongly as possible for upcoming negotiations.
“I hope that this is one of the topics we’ll discuss now,” Jonson added.
As previously reported by The Gaze, Sweden also provided Ukraine with a military aid package worth $1.6 billion, the largest since Russia’s invasion in 2022.
Furthermore, Sweden will purchase and transfer 18 additional Archer self-propelled artillery systems and 5 Arthur counter-battery radars to Ukraine.
Additionally, the Swedish government has announced €820 million in financial support for the Ukrainian Institute in Sweden to implement projects aimed at promoting Ukrainian culture.
