Germany Launches Electronic Warfare Coalition to Boost Ukraine’s Defense

Germany has unveiled the creation of a new Electronic Warfare Coalition within the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, known as the Ramstein format, aimed at enhancing Ukraine’s resilience in modern warfare, The Gaze reports referencing Germany’s Ministry of Defence.
According to the Ministry’s press release, the initiative—co-led by Germany and nine partner countries—will strengthen Ukraine’s abilities in drone defense, communication security, reconnaissance, and the effectiveness of its weapons systems.
Germany also pledged an additional €11 billion in military aid through 2029. The funds will be used for air defense systems, drones, artillery, and surveillance equipment, including four IRIS-T air defense systems, 120 MANPADS, 300 drones, 25 Marder IFVs, 15 Leopard 1A5 tanks, and 100,000 more artillery rounds.
“We need a militarily strong Ukraine. Only then can the negotiation process lead to a lasting and just peace solution,” said Pistorius.
Germany emphasized that the knowledge gained from supporting Ukraine will contribute to the future development of its military, particularly in the vital field of electronic warfare.
As The Gaze previously reported, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Trade, and Climate Protection has announced an additional €7.27 million to rebuild Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
