Frontline and Quantum Systems Forge Alliance to Boost Ukraine’s Defense

Ukrainian drone manufacturer Frontline has entered a strategic partnership with Quantum Systems, a German-Ukrainian tech company known for its AI-powered unmanned aerial systems.
The Gaze reports this, referring to an announcement made by Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation and Minister of Digital Transformation.
According to Fedorov, the agreement will significantly expand drone production within Ukraine and deepen the country's integration into the European defense ecosystem.
Both companies are part of the Brave1 defense innovation cluster. While Quantum Systems is recognized for developing drones equipped with real-time AI analytics, Frontline specializes in cutting-edge engineering solutions for reconnaissance and assault operations.
Key products developed by Frontline include the “Lynza” bomber drone, the “Zoom” reconnaissance UAV, and the “Buria” automated turret.
These systems have already been NATO-codified and are actively used by 41 Ukrainian military units.
Fedorov emphasized that Ukraine’s fast-evolving defense tech ecosystem enables international partners to design, test, and refine combat-ready technologies directly on the battlefield. Rapid feedback from Ukrainian forces allows for immediate iteration and improvement.
“The partnership envisages scaling up production in Ukraine and deeper integration into the European defence industry,” Fedorov noted. “Cooperation with Ukrainian teams means access to unique combat experience, engineering solutions, and speed, which is critically important today.”
In June, the European Commission, in partnership with Kyiv, launched the BraveTech EU initiative, committing €50 million from both sides to co-develop battlefield-tested technologies and promote joint innovation.
