Ukraine took third place with HEAR ME NOW by Artem Kotenko. This is Ukraine's best result at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in the last ten years. Artem Kotenko was born in Okhtyrka, Sumy region. He really wanted to get to Junior Eurovision. According to Artem, he dreamed of representing Ukraine because he wanted Europe and the whole world to hear that people in Ukraine are now being deprived of their homes. ‘And home is the most important thing in life that you can never give away, and that's why we are fighting for it now,’ the singer said. He is now 12 years old, but has been singing since he was three and performing on stage since he was four.
