The 22nd Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Spain for the first time in history, which accepted the invitation to host the contest after finishing second last year in Nice, when 13-year-old Frenchwoman Zoe Closeur won with her song Cœur.
However, as the rules do not require the winning broadcaster to host the show, France decided not to hold the contest for the second time in a row, and the Spanish broadcaster RTVE took over the organisation.
The final will take place on 16 November at the Caja Mágica arena in Madrid.
Artem Kotenko from Okhtyrka won the Ukrainian national selection. He will represent Ukraine at the contest with the song Hear Me Now.
