Germany Hands Over Another Patriot Air Defence System to Ukraine
Another Patriot air defence system from Germany has already arrived in Ukraine.
This was announced on Facebook by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
‘We can now say that our air defence system has been strengthened. The German Patriot has arrived in Ukraine, and I want to thank Germany and the United States for this step,’ the president said.
According to him, Ukraine will now be able to ‘do more in the sky’, but ‘there is still a lot of work to be done, and this is far from guaranteed protection’.
As The Gaze previously reported, at the 75th NATO Summit in Washington, the participants adopted the so-called ‘Ukraine Compact’. Following the meeting, the leaders of Ukraine, the United States, 21 other NATO countries, the EU and Japan signed a multilateral agreement containing commitments to support Ukraine.
The members of the North Atlantic Alliance also announced the irreversibility of Ukraine's accession to NATO and assured of their support for the country on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration.
