The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, has arrived in Kyiv for his fourth visit since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion. He announced this in a tweet.

"Back in Kyiv for my fourth visit since Russia's full-scale invasion began. I'm here to discuss with our Ukrainian friends the unwavering support for Ukraine from the European Union – in the military sphere, in the financial sphere with the new Ukrainian fund, and on the path of reforms in the EU," wrote Josep Borrell.

The EU External Action Service clarified that Borrell's visit to Ukraine will last for two days - February 6 and 7.

"During his visit, the EU High Representative Josep Borrell will meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Defence Minister Rustem Umerov, and will also address the members of the Verkhovna Rada," the statement said.

It is also known that Borrell will visit the EU Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform in Ukraine (EUAM).

Before his visit to Ukraine, Josep Borrell visited Poland. There he stated that the European Union should continue to support Ukraine by all possible means, including through further increasing the supply of ammunition.

In Warsaw, Borrell held bilateral meetings with Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski and representatives of the Polish Ministry of Defence, during which issues of foreign and security policy were discussed – "from Ukraine to the Middle East".

Today, The Gaze also reported that the EU Council and the European Parliament have reached a preliminary agreement to create a new special mechanism for the reconstruction and modernization of Ukraine, as well as to support its efforts in implementing reforms on the path to EU membership.

The new Ukrainian fund totalling 50 billion euros consolidates EU budget support for Ukraine into a single instrument, ensuring consistent, predictable, and flexible support for the period 2024-2027.

Ukraine can request an advance payment of up to 7% of the program amount under the "Ukrainian Plan."
