Many of them continue to face professional and social challenges in their efforts to enter the local job market. Education is an important step for these ready and talented individuals as they seek employment. Microsoft Corporation is proud to be part of this pivotal moment today with our commitment to collaborate with our partners across Europe to educate at least 5,000 Ukrainians by 2025."
Additionally, several major companies have announced their commitment to provide education for over 86,000 refugees over the next three years. For example, Accenture will provide training and support for approximately 16,000 refugees, Indeed will educate at least 15,000, Cisco 10,000, Microsoft 5,000, and Generali 5,000. According to the United Nations, as of June 6, 2023, approximately 6 million Ukrainian refugees are residing in European countries. Summit participants have noted that efforts to facilitate the employment of Ukrainians will contribute to the stabilization of the situation in Europe.
The companies expressing their intentions hope that these actions will not only strengthen their own teams and fill labor gaps but also contribute to the development of the European economy. It is expected that the total income of refugees across Europe will exceed 2 billion euros annually.
