Lithuania Invests €10 Million in Production of Ukrainian Drone Missile ‘Palianytsia’
Lithuania is investing €10 million in the production of the Ukrainian Palianytsia drone missile following the example of the Danish model, i.e. by directly financing the Ukrainian manufacturer. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The mechanism for financing the production was discussed by Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine for European Integration Serhiy Boyev and Deputy Minister of National Defence of Lithuania Monika Koroliovienė.
Boyev explained that investments based on the Danish model would work much faster, and the enemy would soon see the results.
He also thanked the Lithuanian side for its leadership within the Coalition for Demining and active participation in the Drone Coalition, among other things.
‘Lithuania remains a committed partner of Ukraine. We aim to provide effective assistance. Investments must work, so we are looking for the most practical use for them,’ said Monika Koroliovienė, Deputy Minister of National Defence of Lithuania.
Minister of Defence of Lithuania Laurinas Kasčūnas is expected to visit Ukraine in the near future.
