Man Detained in Slovenia for Provocation During Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenska's Visit
In the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, a provocative incident occurred during the visit of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, after which the police detained a man. This was reported by 24ur.
The Prime Minister of Slovenia Robert Golob expressed regret over the incident near the library building.
As Golob stressed, this is unacceptable behaviour that ‘should have no place in our society.’
Zelenska was invited to visit Slovenia by the husband of the Slovenian President Aleš Musar.
During her visit, Zelenska visited the National and University Library (NUK) in Ljubljana, where she donated books by Ukrainian authors. However, a minor incident occurred there.
A protester appeared in front of the building and shouted in English: ‘The war must end. Russia will win’.
As noted, the police then detained and searched the man.
‘At the scene, the police identified the man. The incident did not threaten anyone. The police were informed about the protest and took certain operational measures in this regard,’ the Ljubljana Police Department said.
