Military Exercises with Participation of Romania and US Begin in Moldova
The multinational exercise Fire Shield 2024 has started in Moldova and will last until 23 August.

The exercise will involve military-technical units and artillery systems of the National Army of Moldova. The military from the United States and Romania are also taking part in the manoeuvres.
It is noted that the military exercises are aimed at developing operational capabilities and increasing interoperability of troops.
The Fire Shield exercise has been held in Moldova since 2015.
In the coming days, as part of the exercise, military equipment will be seen on the country's roads.
Earlier, on 1-5 July, theoretical and practical exercises of the Armed Forces reservists were held in Moldova.
As The Gaze previously reported, the EU Council has decided to allocate an additional 9 million euros to support the Moldovan Armed Forces.
