Norway's Crown Prince Arrives in Ukraine for First Visit

Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon arrived in Kyiv on 20 May 2025, his first visit to Ukraine.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to a post by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the social network X.
"His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon is in Ukraine today. This visit underlines Norway's unwavering solidarity with the Ukrainian people and our deep respect for their resilience. Norway will continue to provide strong political, military and humanitarian support," the Norwegian ministry said in a statement.
The Prince was accompanied to Kyiv by Norwegian Energy Minister Terje Aasland.
At the Kyiv railway station, the prince was met by Norwegian Ambassador Helene Sand Andresen and a Ukrainian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Oleksandr Mishchenko.
Prince Haakon visited wounded Ukrainian soldiers undergoing rehabilitation and paid tribute to the fallen defenders in Moshchun.
As The Gaze reported earlier, Norway will help equip the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with modern weapons, armoured vehicles and other technological solutions.
