Olena Zelenska Foundation and UAE Sign $5M Deal to Support Humanitarian Projects in Ukraine

The Olena Zelenska Foundation and the government of the United Arab Emirates are continuing their strategic partnership by signing a new agreement to fund social and humanitarian projects worth $5 million.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to the Office of the President of Ukraine.
On October 14, 2025, during the visit of UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Al Hashimi to Ukraine, a new agreement was signed between the Olena Zelenska Foundation and the UAE Aid Agency.
The document cemented a three-year partnership that has already yielded tangible results and opened up opportunities for new initiatives in the areas of social protection, education, and health care.
The new funding is directed toward three key areas: the development of family-based forms of education, psychosocial support for adolescents and young people, and the creation of safe conditions for children's education.
This means the continuation and expansion of successful projects such as “Address of Childhood,” under which ten houses for large foster families have already been built in frontline regions, with another ten under construction.
“The new funding will enable us to expand our work on important projects for families and children, as well as implement new initiatives to support and develop young people,” said Nina Gorbacheva, director of the Foundation.
The partnership has already achieved significant results in providing educational and humanitarian assistance. For example, more than 12,500 students from combat zones received laptops for distance learning, and about 20,000 children from vulnerable groups were provided with school kits.
Support for the healthcare system has also become an important area of cooperation: 50 ambulances were delivered to frontline regions, and hospitals in the Kharkiv region received modern equipment.
As The Gaze informed earlier, in July this year, financial institutions in the United Arab Emirates tightened their supervision of Russian companies' activities.
