Over 30 Civilians Killed in New Russian Missile Strike on Ukraine

A Russian missile strike on the morning of 13 April in the centre of Sumy, in eastern Ukraine, killed at least 31 people, including two children.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to the post of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on social media.
‘As of now, 31 people are known to have been killed in Sumy by the Russian ballistic missile strike. Among those killed were two children. My condolences to the families and loved ones,’ the Ukrainian leader wrote.
According to him, more than 84 people were injured, including ten children.

Regional authorities reported that Russia had fired two ballistic missiles at the city centre.
‘It is crucial that the world does not stay silent or indifferent. Russian strikes deserve nothing but condemnation. There must be pressure on Russia to end the war and guarantee security for people. Without truly strong pressure, without sufficient support for Ukraine, Russia will continue dragging this war out. It’s now the second month that Putin has been ignoring the U.S. proposal for a full and unconditional ceasefire. Unfortunately, there in Moscow they are convinced they can keep killing with impunity. Action is needed to change this situation,’ Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.

As The Gaze reported earlier, on the night of April 6, a Russian ballistic missile strike on Kyiv caused significant damage to a building housing the editorial offices of Ukraine's International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine (IBMPU), which includes The Gaze among its international media outlets. These facilities had been relocated there following a previous attack on 12 February.
