Over 300 Drones and Nearly 20 Missiles launched by Russia at Ukrainian Cities in the First Three Days of the New Year
In the first three days of the new year of 2025, the Russian army used more than 300 attack drones and about 20 missiles, including ballistic missiles, against Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
He added that a significant number were shot down or neutralised by the Ukrainian armed forces, but unfortunately, there were some hits, resulting in casualties and injuries. In addition, Russian guided aerial bomb attacks continue on a daily basis.
‘Such Russian terror, which continues with unrelenting intensity, requires us and all our partners not to reduce efforts to strengthen our air defence shield and all its system components - from Patriot systems to mobile fire groups,’ Zelenskyy said.
He noted that Ukraine is preparing for meetings and negotiations next week to further strengthen its air defence.
‘We must constantly replenish our stockpile of air defence missiles and continuously increase the capabilities of mobile fire groups. I am grateful to all our partners who help us,’ the President of Ukraine added.
In the evening of 3 January, Russians struck a triple attack on a residential area on the outskirts of Chernihiv, leaving one dead and one wounded.
