Security measures will be tightened in France before the arrival of the Olympic torch on 8 May, and giant Olympic rings will be installed on the Eiffel Tower during the Paris Olympics, Le Parisien writes.
On the day of the opening ceremony, 326,000 people are expected to attend the event on the banks of the Seine in Paris.
Like every Olympic host city, Paris will have its rings in one of the most symbolic places. According to the newspaper, five intertwined rings - blue, yellow, black, green and red - will be installed on the Eiffel Tower, symbolising the 5 continents participating in the Games. They will be placed high, about 60 metres above the ground, between the first and second floors.
The Eiffel Tower was already at the centre of the presentation of the "made to share" slogan in February 2017, when Paris was just a candidate to host the Olympic Games.
The tower is one of the most famous and recognisable by tourists, with thousands of people coming every day to take photos at the foot of the work, whose top rises 324 metres.
The Olympics will begin on 26 July with an unprecedented opening ceremony on the Seine. The participating teams will sail down the river in a flotilla of boats in front of hundreds of thousands of spectators.
The Olympic flame will be lit in the Tuileries Gardens, not far from the Louvre.
All airports around Paris will be closed during the opening ceremony.
And French security forces will check up to a million people before the Olympic Games, including athletes and people living near key infrastructure.
