Poland Prepares €200 Million Military Aid Package for Ukraine

Poland is preparing to deliver a new €200 million military aid package to Ukraine in the coming months, Polish chargé d’affaires in Ukraine, Piotr Łukasiewicz, confirmed in an interview with European Pravda, The Gaze reports.
According to Łukasiewicz, the package will be the 47th since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion and will include ammunition, spare parts, and other essential support for Ukrainian forces on the battlefield.
This follows the 46th package, valued at around €230 million, which was delivered at the end of 2024.
Between 2022 and the end of 2024, Poland has provided Ukraine with 318 tanks, 536 various combat vehicles, 136 artillery systems of different calibers, 10 aircraft, and 10 combat helicopters.
Łukasiewicz also emphasized that Poland has trained nearly 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers on its territory and continues to provide critical logistical support to the Ukrainian military.
Regarding Ukraine’s request for additional MiG-29 fighter jets, Łukasiewicz noted that this depends on Ukraine’s current focus on mastering more advanced Western aircraft, such as Gripen or F-16 jets.
He added that Poland is gradually phasing out MiG-29s from its own arsenal, replacing them with F-16s, making the transfer of remaining MiG-29s to Ukraine “entirely possible,” though discussions are still ongoing.
“The allies want the equipment they provide—or are considering providing—to be used effectively for victory,” Łukasiewicz said, adding that negotiations are aimed at balancing Ukraine’s immediate battlefield needs with long-term defense priorities.
He also stressed the scale of Poland’s overall contribution, which he estimated at around €4.5 billion. “For the size of our country and our army, this is a very large amount,” he underlined.
As The Gaze previously reported, Poland firmly rejected suggestions that Polish soldiers might be deployed to Ukraine. Sikorski clarified that while Poland may contribute to a potential multinational stability operation, it will not involve sending troops into Ukrainian territory.
