Shmyhal Meets US Officials to Boost Military Support

Ukrainian Defence Minister Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with Julie Davis, Chargé d'Affaires of the United States in Ukraine, Brigadier General Brad Nicholson, Defense Attaché at the US Embassy in Ukraine, and Lieutenant General Curtis Buzzard, Commander of SAG-U and NSATU.
The Gaze writes on this, referring to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
At the meeting, participants discussed with US representatives the strengthening of defense support, joint projects, including the production of drones, and the preparation of new initiatives to strengthen cooperation.
“Ukraine and the United States continue to maintain a rich dialogue in the field of defence,” Shmyhal stated.
The head of the Ministry of Defence also thanked President Trump and Congress for their significant support, in particular for their promise to transfer Patriot systems and long-range weapons to protect against Russian shelling.
“We are working in close coordination with our American partners. Achieving lasting peace through strength remains our goal. And we are convinced that this can be achieved under US leadership,” emphasized Shmyhal.
As The Gaze reported earlier, the administration of the US President Donald Trump plans to redistribute arms supplies to allies in order to prioritize those countries that are ready to transfer Patriot systems from their arsenals to Ukraine in the future.
