Sybiha: Putin’s Three-Day ‘Ceasefire’ a Farce as Russia Continues Attacks on Ukraine

On 8 May, the Russian occupation army continued to attack Ukraine along the entire frontline, thus violating its own statements about the ceasefire from 8 to 10 May.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to a post by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on the X network.
‘I have just spoken with the Ukrainian military command, which provided information on the situation at the front. As expected, Putin's ‘ceremonial ceasefire’ turned out to be a farce. According to our military data, despite Putin's statements, Russian troops continue to attack along the entire front line,’ he wrote.
According to Sybiha, from midnight to midday, Russia carried out 734 ceasefire violations and 63 assault operations, 23 of which are still ongoing; 586 attacks on the positions of our troops, 464 of which involved the use of heavy weapons; 176 strikes using drones; 10 air strikes using 16 guided aerial bombs.’
The Minister also said that all information about the attacks would be provided to the United States, the EU and other international partners and organisations.
He also reiterated that Ukraine remains ready for at least a 30-day full ceasefire.
The Russians said that the so-called three-day ceasefire, which was declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin alone, came into effect at 00:00 on 8 May.
