Ukraine Approves Plan to Implement European Commission's Requirements for EU Accession

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a plan to implement the European Commission's recommendations set out in the Ukraine's progress report on the 2024 EU Enlargement Package. This was reported by the government portal.
Olha Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and Minister of Justice, said that the decision would contribute to Ukraine's systematic approximation to European standards. She emphasised that despite the war, the country remains on course for EU membership and continues reforms, and the approved plan will help structure key tasks to harmonise national legislation with EU law.
The document contains more than 380 measures aimed at implementing the European Commission's recommendations, including those presented in the 2024 report, as well as partially implemented recommendations from 2023.
The plan envisages the implementation of 195 recommendations under 33 negotiating chapters and six clusters, including economic criteria, the functioning of democratic institutions, and public administration reform.
The areas identified include the foundations of the EU accession process, the internal market, competitiveness, the green agenda, resources, agriculture, cohesion policy and external relations.
The document ties each measure to a specific recommendation, with deadlines and responsible persons. The government stressed that progress in implementing these recommendations is a key indicator of Ukraine's readiness for European integration.
As The Gaze reported, the European Union has officially launched the Ukraine2EU programme to support Ukraine's accession to the EU.
