Ukraine, France Launch “Voyage to Ukraine” Cultural Season

France will host a landmark Ukrainian cultural season titled “Voyage to Ukraine” from December 2025 to March 2026, offering French audiences a vivid and immersive experience of Ukraine’s rich artistic heritage and contemporary cultural landscape.
The Gaze reports this, referring to a statement made by Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The initiative was officially announced during a meeting in Kyiv between Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot.
The season is being organized under the patronage of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries and implemented by the Ukrainian Institute and the French Institute, in collaboration with the French Ministry of Culture.
“We will introduce the French public to the unique Ukrainian culture and art. Mutual cultural understanding will bring our nations and countries even closer,” Sybiha said at a joint press conference with his French counterpart.
Designed as a celebration of “Ukraine’s resilience and creative spirit” in the face of Russia’s full-scale war, “Voyage to Ukraine” will feature performances, exhibitions, literary events, film screenings, discussions, and artist residencies across multiple cities in France.
In addition, the initiative aims to forge long-term partnerships between cultural institutions in Ukraine, France, and beyond, strengthening professional networks and advancing Ukraine’s integration into the European cultural space.
The project builds upon the May 2024 partnership agreement between the Ukrainian and French Institutes, and reflects a broader effort to deepen diplomatic, artistic, and societal ties amidst ongoing geopolitical challenges.
As The Gaze reported earlier, French FM Jean-Noël Barrot has completed a symbolic visit to Ukraine’s frontline regions, including the embattled city of Kharkiv and, notably, the war-scarred Sumy region.
