Ukraine Launches Joint Weapons Production Program with “Ramstein” Partners

Ukraine is officially launching a groundbreaking initiative to co-produce weapons with its international defense partners from the “Ramstein” Contact Group.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to Umerov’s post on social media.
The program aims to expand Ukraine’s defense industrial base by establishing new manufacturing facilities both domestically and in partner countries.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced the initiative, emphasizing that all weaponry produced under this program during wartime will be directed exclusively to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Ukraine has invaluable experience in modern warfare, effective domestic weapons and military equipment, and the ability to test all of it directly on the battlefield,” Umerov stated.
To support the program, Ukraine’s government has proposed a series of legislative changes aimed at reducing red tape and stimulating defense-sector growth.
On July 1, the Ministry of Defense and the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Taxation, and Customs Policy presented four draft laws to domestic defense industry stakeholders. The proposed legislation would amend The Tax Code, The Customs Code, The Budget Code, and The Criminal Code.
These changes are designed to establish a favorable legal and fiscal environment for defense manufacturing, attract investment, and safeguard critical infrastructure.
A first vote on the legislative package in the Verkhovna Rada is expected later this month.
As The Gaze reported earlier, on June 4, Umerov announced a major breakthrough in international military assistance following the 28th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group.
