Ukraine Launches Production of NATO-Caliber Shells with Czechoslovak Group License

Ukrainian Armored Vehicles has begun serial production of 105 mm and 155 mm artillery shells in Ukraine under license from the Czechoslovak Group (CSG).
The Gaze reports on it, referring to Militarnyi.
Under this project, shell casings are manufactured in Ukraine, where they are also filled, assembled, and tested.
Meanwhile, Czechoslovak Group will supply critical high-tech components, transfer licenses and know-how, and provide technical support, but does not own any production facilities in Ukraine.
According to CSG representatives, it is the Ukrainian partner that manages the project and had sufficient production capacity to quickly launch serial production.
The initial annual capacity is set at 100,000 155 mm shells and 50,000 105 mm shells. In the future, production is planned to be increased several times over.
“Initially, half of the production will be localized in Ukraine with the aim of achieving 80% self-sufficiency. During the implementation of the project, the production of detonator components will also be gradually transferred to Ukraine,” informed the Czechoslovak Group.
It is worth recalling that the partnership agreement between Ukrainian Armored Vehicles and the Czechoslovak Group was signed in October last year, and the ultimate goal of the project is to significantly strengthen the Ukrainian army's self-sufficiency in artillery ammunition.
As The Gaze reported earlier, Czech citizens have raised almost €550,000 in less than two days to fund a long-range Ukrainian missile known as “Flamingo” for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in one of the fastest fundraising drives organized by the Gift for Putin initiative (Dárek pro Putina).
