Ukraine Globalizes Its Defense Industry with Offices in the U.S., Europe, Global South
Ukraine is extending its defense industry footprint beyond Europe, with new representative offices set to open in Europe, the United States and across the Global South.
The Gaze reports this, referring to Ukrinform.
The announcement came during a briefing by Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov and Presidential Advisor on Strategic Issues Oleksandr Kamyshin, focused on reviving Ukraine’s defense exports.
Kamyshin said the first offices will open in Berlin and Copenhagen – a symbolic choice, as Germany and Denmark are among the largest investors in Ukraine’s defense sector.
“These offices will serve as showcases for Ukrainian technology – places where visitors can see how our weapons work and why Ukraine is leading in the field of drones,” Kamyshin explained.
He added that each office will feature three zones: a public area for demonstrations, a classified area for military planners, and an office space for negotiations and contracts. The concept combines public outreach, technical dialogue, and business development.
According to officials, Ukraine’s defense offices will function not only as showrooms but as strategic hubs to foster cooperation with governments, militaries, and private industry worldwide. Plans for openings in the United States and several countries in the Global South are already in motion.
“The goal is to bring Ukraine’s defense expertise to every region of the world and to cement its status as a global security brand,” Umerov emphasized.
Earlier this week, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukraine would launch two such offices in 2025 to promote both surplus weapons and co-produced systems. Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council said detailed information on future locations will be shared later.
As The Gaze previously reported, on September 20, Ukraine announced the resumption of limited arms exports in order to attract additional funds for production and maintain its competitive position in the international market.
