Ukraine Set to Receive New Security Assistance from the US in Coming Days
The United States is preparing new military aid packages for Ukraine, which will be announced in the coming days.
White House adviser John Kirby said this yesterday at an online briefing for journalists, Ukrinform reports.
‘There will be another meeting of the Ramstein group, of course, before the end of our cadence (of the current US administration - ed.),’ the White House spokesman said.
He also reminded that a few days ago, the US allocated military assistance packages under the USAI programme, as well as under the presidential powers.
‘I think you can also expect additional announcements in the coming days about security assistance to Ukraine,’ Kirby said.
As previously reported by The Gaze, on Monday, US President Joe Biden announced a $2.5 billion defence aid package for Ukraine: $1.25 billion under the Presidential Decision Authority (PDA) programme and $1.22 billion under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI).
