Chairman of Ukraine’s Parliament (the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine) Ruslan Stefanchuk has arrived in Germany for an official visit aimed at strengthening interparliamentary cooperation and expanding defense and economic partnership between Kyiv and Berlin.

The Gaze reports this, referring to Stefanchuk’s post on social media.

His visit began with a meeting with Bundestag President Julia Klöckner, during which both sides agreed on the schedule for further negotiations and identified key priorities for bilateral dialogue.

“We agreed on the framework for upcoming talks and outlined the main topics of interparliamentary cooperation. Our work to deepen the partnership between Ukraine and Germany continues,” Stefanchuk wrote in a post on Facebook.

At Klöckner’s invitation, Stefanchuk visited the Bundeswehr Artillery School, where he inspected modern artillery systems and other equipment that Germany is supplying to Ukraine.

He also toured a training complex where Ukrainian artillery crews are mastering new weapons under the guidance of German instructors.

The Ukrainian parliamentary leader met with servicemen and engineers from Ukraine currently undergoing training and technical maintenance work in Germany.

Stefanchuk said he was deeply impressed by their professionalism, motivation, and dedication to their mission, calling them “a symbol of Ukraine’s resilience and growing military expertise.”

According to Stefanchuk, his program in Germany includes a series of high-level meetings focused on strengthening defense cooperation, expanding joint weapons production, reinforcing Ukraine’s air defense, and securing long-term financial assistance for Ukraine.

Discussions will also cover mechanisms for utilizing frozen Russian assets to fund Ukraine’s reconstruction and defense.

“Ahead lies a busy program of meetings with German partners. We are working to make Ukrainian-German cooperation even more meaningful and effective,” Stefanchuk emphasized.

As The Gaze reported earlier, the leaders of Britain, France and Germany have agreed to coordinate efforts to channel frozen Russian assets toward supporting Ukraine’s defense.
