Ukrainian Sambo Athletes Win 10 Medals at the European Championships in Limassol

The men's and women's sambo teams of Ukraine have successfully competed at the European Championships in Limassol, Cyprus. In the sport and combat sections, Ukrainian athletes won three gold medals, four silver and three bronze medals over two days of competition.

In sambo, Ukraine's women's national team won the team event, while the men's team took third place.
Ukrainian champions and prize-winners among adults:
Maria Buyok (50kg sport division), Vadim Burchak (88kg combat division) and Galina Kovalskaya (80kg sport division) won gold.
Anastasia Komovich (+80 kg), Dmitry Evdoshenko (64 kg), Yaroslav Davydchuk (98 kg) and Roman Trush (71 kg) won silver medals.
Vitaliy Osadchuk (+98kg combat division), Stanislav Serhiichuk (88kg combat division) and Vasyl Ivoniak (79kg combat division) won bronze medals.
Next, at the European Championships, which will last until 27 April, cadets, boys and girls, juniors and juniors will compete for awards.
As The Gaze reported earlier, as of March 2025, 591 Ukrainian athletes and coaches have been killed by Russia, 22 are held in captivity, and 11 are missing.
