US to Prioritise Ukraine in Foreign Arms Sales, Ambassador Says

When selling weapons to foreign buyers, the United States will give priority to European purchases for Ukraine.
The Gaze reports on this, referring to a statement by US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker on Fox News.
Whitaker noted that under the agreement announced on Monday by US President Donald Trump, Europe and Canada will pay for weapons manufactured in the United States.
"We make the best weapons in the world, and everyone wants them (to buy). And we will give priority to weapons for Ukraine," he said.
In his opinion, the decision on armaments is also a signal to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On Monday, Trump announced an agreement between the US and NATO under which European allies will pay for American weapons supplies to Ukraine.
‘We make the best equipment, the best missiles, the best of everything, European countries know this, and today we have reached an agreement under which we will supply them with weapons, and they (NATO, ed.) will pay for them,’ he said.
As The Gaze reported earlier, US President Donald Trump plans to transfer weapons to Ukraine under presidential powers for the first time during his second term. The estimated cost of the package could be $300 million.
