Zelenskyy Announces New Prisoner Swap: Over 200 Ukrainians Return Home

Ukraine has held another prisoner exchange with Russia, with 185 military personnel and 20 civilians returning home.
The Gaze reports this, referring to a statement made by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on Telegram.
Among those released were 183 privates and sergeants and two officers of the Armed Forces, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service. Twenty civilians are also returning with the defenders.
All of them will be provided with the necessary support.
Zelenskyy noted that many of these soldiers were captured during the defense of Mariupol, at Azovstal, and in the Chernobyl zone. In addition, most of them had been in Russian captivity since 2022.
He thanked everyone who helped organize the exchange.
“Since the start of the full-scale invasion, we have managed to bring home more than 7,000 of our people,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
“We must bring everyone back,” the President of Ukraine concluded, adding that work is being done every day to free Ukrainian citizens from Russian captivity.
The Gaze informed earlier that, on September 17, another 16 Ukrainian children were rescued from the temporarily occupied territories thanks to the Bring Kids Back UA initiative and the efforts of the Save Ukraine team.
