Zelenskyy Calls on West to Strengthen Sanctions Against Russia After Another Night of Attacks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the West to strengthen sanctions against Russia to stop its war of aggression, commenting on another night of shelling of Ukrainian cities last night.
The Gaze reports on this with reference to his post on X.
Zelenskyy noted that since the beginning of the month, Russia has already used about 2,800 strike drones, nearly 3,000 guided aerial bombs, and 140 missiles of various types against Ukraine.
“Moscow has been doing this for four years and is constantly increasing the number of strikes. That is why it is so important that all decisions to strengthen sanctions against Russia be made in the coming weeks,” he stressed.
Among other things, the president mentioned lowering the price cap on Russian oil and sanctions against Russian banks and the financial sector, “which will really hurt.”
“We must also combat schemes to circumvent sanctions. The United States, the European Union, and the G7 countries have the power to do so,” Zelenskyy concluded.
In recent weeks, Ukraine has repeatedly stated that only increased sanctions pressure on Russia will force it to sit down at the negotiating table to end its full-scale aggression.
On Saturday night, Russia attacked Ukraine with 183 strike drones and 11 missiles of various types, including hypersonic Kinzhal missiles.
