Zelenskyy Names Umerov as Head of Ukraine’s Russia Negotiation Delegation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has authorized the creation of a delegation for negotiations with Russia to be headed by Rustem Umerov, The Gaze reports, citing Zelenskyy in Facebook.
The President wrote that he had held a meeting on the necessary results of the negotiations.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Rustem Umerov informed Zelenskyy about the implementation of the agreements reached at the second meeting with the Russian side in Istanbul, as well as the agreement on new negotiations. The Gaze previously reported on a possible third round of direct talks between Ukraine and Russia this week.
"I have instructed to form a delegation for negotiations with the Russian side. The delegation will be headed by Rustem Umerov, and will include representatives of the Ukrainian intelligence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the President," Zelenskyy said on the outcome of the meeting.
The Ukrainian President has once again emphasized that Ukraine is ready to work productively for peace and to stop the war provoked by Russia.
"Ukraine is ready to work as productively as possible to free our people from captivity and return the abducted children, as well as to stop the killings and to prepare a meeting of leaders to really end this war,” Zelenskyy wrote.
