Zelenskyy: Over 40% of Weapons on Ukraine’s Front Produced Domestically

Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that more than 40% of the weapons on the front lines are manufactured in Ukraine or with its participation, and by the end of the year, the share of Ukrainian production should reach at least 50%.

The Gaze reports this, referring to a statement made by the President of Ukraine on Telegram.

The announcement was made during the International Defense Industry Forum, which is being held in Ukraine for the third time.

The President stressed that the country's defense industry potential has grown significantly since the start of the full-scale war.

“Our potential in the production of drones and missiles alone will be $35 billion next year,” he said.

Zelenskyy also noted that Ukrainian industry already produces 40 Bogdan artillery systems every month.

“We were able to set up the production of our domestic artillery at record speed and quality. We are already producing 40 Bogdan systems per month. This is a significant result. We thank the manufacturers,” the President said.

At the same time, Zelenskyy pointed out that funding and partnership support are needed to fully utilize the defense potential.

“The time has come to start exporting our Ukrainian weapons—those types of weapons that we have in surplus and can therefore be exported to finance the types of weapons that are particularly needed for defense,” he stated.

He announced an export program with the working title “Zbroya” (Weapons). Agreements have already been reached on opening export and import platforms in Europe, the United States, and the Middle East.

“The task for the end of the year is to launch these platforms,” Zelenskyy concluded.
