At Least Six Killed in Kyiv as Russia Launches Massive Overnight Attack
A large-scale Russian air assault on Kyiv overnight has left at least six people dead and nine injured.
The Gaze reports this, referring to local authorities and emergency services.
The heaviest casualties were recorded in the Sviatoshynskyi district, where four people were found dead at the scene of a missile strike, Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko reported. Several others were pulled from the rubble with injuries of varying severity.
According to a statement made by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the capital came under a combined barrage of cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and attack drones in the early hours of 25 November. The strike caused extensive damage across multiple districts and triggered widespread power and water disruptions.
The State Emergency Service confirmed that a 22-story residential building in the Pecherskyi district sustained a direct hit, destroying several floors between the 4th and 8th levels. Fire crews and rescue teams are continuing to search for survivors amid the debris.

Another strike in the Dniprovskyi district damaged a nine-storey apartment block. Fires that erupted between the 5th and 8th floors have been extinguished, but emergency teams are still clearing the wreckage and checking for additional victims.
The missile barrage also caused temporary outages to electricity and water services in parts of Kyiv, according to municipal authorities. Utility crews are working to restore full service as rescue teams continue operations in the affected areas.
The attack marks one of the deadliest assaults on the capital in recent weeks and comes amid a renewed wave of Russian strikes targeting Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure ahead of winter.
As The Gaze previously reported, on November 19, Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, striking multiple regions with a mix of drones, cruise missiles and hypersonic weapons.
