Zelenskyy: Russia Deliberately Targeted Children and Medics in Kherson Hospital Attack
This morning, Russian troops launched an attack on a children's hospital in Kherson, resulting in casualties among children and medical staff.
The Gaze reports on it, referring to a statement made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram.
According to him, about a hundred people were in the hospital during the attack.
“They [Russians] could not have been unaware of where they were striking. This was a deliberate Russian attack specifically on children, specifically on medical personnel, specifically on the basic guarantees of life in the community,” the Head of State emphasized.

The hospital suffered significant damage. The youngest injured child is eight years old. Among the victims are a boy, his mother, and his brother.

The President stressed that Russia continues to terrorize the civilian population and “is not just dragging out this war, but is doing everything to ensure that no opportunity to end it works.”
Zelenskyy noted that Moscow is deliberately undermining any diplomatic efforts, discrediting international aid to Ukraine, and trying to create new sources of destabilization in Europe.
“Nothing convinces Russia except pressure and force,” he said, welcoming new U.S. sanctions against Russian oil companies. Ukrainian President stressed that such steps are necessary to deprive the Kremlin of the opportunity to prolong the war and force it to seek peace.
“Terrorists should be treated only as they deserve — with force and justice,” Zelenskyy concluded.
As The Gaze informed earlier, since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, at least 661 children have been killed and more than 1,400 have been injured to varying degrees.
