Zilch is Opening a New Technology Center in Poland
Zilch, an innovative provider of direct-to-consumer loans and advertising technology platform, plans to open a new technology hub in Krakow. With this opening, Zilch will have three global offices, including its headquarters in London and an office in Miami, according to Business Wire.
Zilch is an innovative provider of direct-to-consumer loans and an advertising technology platform. The company aims to make consumer loans more affordable and offers its customers innovative payment options and rewards. Their new center in Krakow, known as the European Center of Excellence, will focus on accelerating the development and implementation of new innovative features and technologies.
Initially, the Krakow center will employ over 30% of Zilch's software engineers, with further expansion planned in the coming years. This expansion is supported by Poland's strong economy, thriving business services sector, and highly skilled pool of technology specialists.
Led by Zilch's Chief Technology Officer, Sean Hederman, the Krakow team will work closely with the company's main engineering center in the United Kingdom, paving the way for the creation of additional technology centers worldwide to support Zilch's continuous growth. This investment in the development of their core product aligns with Zilch's strategic focus and has contributed to the rapid growth of the company, which currently has over 3 million registered customers.
"The current global macroeconomic climate has led to a noticeable increase in financial exclusion for consumers and significant funding reductions for private companies. This creates an environment where well-funded and economically viable companies like Zilch can outcompete by delivering enormous value to the mass market consumers. While others are scaling back, we are doubling down on investments in our team, product, and customers. This strategic move is part of our targeted investment program in research and development and technology. We expect our new venture in Krakow to become a model for similar technology centers worldwide," said Philip Belamant, CEO and co-founder of Zilch.
It is worth noting that earlier this summer, international payment system Visa announced plans to establish a new global technology and product center in Poland, which will be its first strategic center of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. The purpose of its creation is to support Visa's development in the field of digital commerce and payments.
