$55M in Aid: Google Supports Ukraine and Plans Kyiv Digital Projects

Over the past three years, Google has provided Ukraine with more than $45 million in financial assistance and more than $10 million in technical solutions and educational resources.

A meeting was held at the city hall between the mayor, Vitali Klitschko, and representatives of Google, led by Annette Krobber-Riel, vice president of government relations for Google Europe.
“Google remains a reliable partner for Ukraine in digital development, strengthening cyber resilience, and economic recovery,” Klitschko wrote.
According to him, over the past three years of full-scale war, Google has supported Ukraine with more than $45 million in financial aid and provided more than $10 million in technical solutions and educational resources.
The parties discussed the possibility of integrating data on accessibility, barrier-free routes, and shelters into Google Maps, as well as the use of artificial intelligence technologies for transportation modeling and urban planning.
As the statement reads, AI can also help expand and improve urban services for greater accessibility and convenience for Kyiv residents.
The mayor also thanked the company for supporting Ukraine in digital development, strengthening cyber resilience, and economic recovery.
Google representatives, in turn, noted Kyiv's achievements in the field of digitalization of urban services and confirmed their interest in further bilateral cooperation.
The Gaze previously informed that in its latest effort to combat global disinformation, Google has removed nearly 11,000 YouTube channels and associated accounts during the second quarter of 2025.
