Dublin, We Arrived! Taylor Swift Receives Flowers from U2 at the Start of 'The Eras Tour' in Ireland
The eagerly awaited three-day Eras Tour by Taylor Swift commenced in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, last night. The singer brought her record-breaking tour to Ireland’s Aviva Stadium, which will host over 150,000 Swifties over three nights, starting from Friday, reports the Irish Examiner. It has been six years since her last performance in Dublin.
Taylor Swift received a welcoming gift from the legendary band U2 upon her arrival in Dublin. The singer posted a photo on social media signed by Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr.
"Already feeling that Irish hospitality," Swift shared in her Instagram Stories, along with a picture of the flowers she received from the band. "U2, thank you for always being the classiest and coolest."
Swift also shared a note signed by the band: "Dear Taylor, welcome back to our hometown... leave some of this behind? Your Irish fan club."
"Dublin, we have arrived!" Taylor Swift exclaimed. "I feel very, very powerful."
Swift’s stop in Ireland comes after her three nights at Wembley Stadium in London last weekend. The singer was joined by her boyfriend Travis Kelce – the NFL star made a surprise appearance on stage during her performance of "I Can Do with a Broken Heart."
The Eras Tour concerts in Dublin will last for three nights. After Ireland, Swift will perform in Amsterdam starting from July 4, with stops in Switzerland, Germany, and Italy.
On August 15, Swift will return to London’s Wembley Stadium to play another five concerts.
Afterwards, the singer will return to the US on October 18, playing three consecutive nights at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
The 152-day Eras Tour has become the most profitable concert tour in history.
